The Allentown location has also been good, aside from when I was there last week after they did their system-wide updates that left tons of chargers nearly broken.
Good to know, thanks!

This car DEVOURS highway miles. It was the most unstoppable highway car I've ever driven. I set the adaptive cruise to 90 when we left and we got here quickly and quietly, with one stop in Connecticut to eat and charge. I used the integrated NAV to plan the route and charging stop and it worked as intended, guiding me to a 350 kw EA station in a strip mall with a bunch of food options, right off the highway. Charging was quick and we returned to the car with seven minutes to go in the grace period. I was admittedly not driving to maximize range, but we never felt any anxiety about getting where we needed to go safely and on time.

If this trip is an indication, I cannot wait to explore the limits of this i4, as it learns my driving style and as I learn to maximize what it can do.
You set the cruise to 90, and what was your efficiency or range at that speed?

Carlisle is where I had my issue using the charger. Two were working two were down. Had to wait about 1/2 or so to use them then ended up paying for the charge cause I couldn't get the free charge to work. It was quite a while ago so I'm not sure exactly what happened, but something did.

From what I'm seeing on road trips if you stay in eco and cruise around 75mph or less you will get somewhere between 4 and 4.4 mi/kwh depending on traffic, temp, and terrain . (Using my 18" e40 as reference) that's pretty good mileage wise. Also the range estimation isn't perfect but I would say it's pretty reliable. So if you drove 350miles even in a gas car it's likely you are ready to stop eat and pee so half hr/hr break doesn't bother me but on a family road trip with the kids I'd much rather have my x5.

I have a tendency to do the same routes bc of my job so I have the luxury of knowing where chargers are and which stations have the newer signets etc .. so I'm not running into too many issues with ea.

I would like to be able to use more level 2 but it seems like I'm always parked somewhere too long (where I would idle) or too short for it to make sense. This is the funny thing about ev infrastructure it is really goofy and someone with the cheapest Fiat 500 is always plugged in to the free level 2 chargers wherever you go. Too many businesses have 1 token charger and said charger is always connected to a Fiat 500.

How quick is charging?
OP mentioned it's was 'quick' and came back with 7 mins to go, but didn't say what the actual length of time was or how depleted the battery was.

It's very reliable 80% in 30mins the lowest I've been was about 6 or 8 % but with the charging curve on a 350kw charger it's really quick. Most of the time is the last 10% between 70 and 80

Not great. I don't remember, exactly, but I think it was in the 3 - 3.4 miles/kWh range. I obviously wasn't traveling 90 the entire time, given traffic.

not useless, just that it only works on AC chargers like tesla destination chargers. There is no official tesla to CCS DC adapter yet hopefully that will be the solution, otherwise we may be waiting years for CCS Tesla Charging Stations to roll out

Are there more Tesla AC chargers than Super Chargers or is it vice versa?

I would imagine it's more of a regional thing. But lots of hotels and businesses had Tesla destination chargers so I would assume there are a lot out there. Never stopped to count but sure the Tesla website will have them mapped out

That's unfortunate. My three stops there have been over the last 5 months or so, plus your experience, and they're still having issues. I called each of the times I had problems so it's not like it's not getting reported.

I'll continue to stop there when needed, and continue to call and report issues as they occur, being idealistically hopeful that they'll actually straighten that location out for good at some point...

I have put about 2300 miles on the car since taking delivery, and I’ve found the EA infrastructure to be leaps and bounds ahead of the others I’ve visited (EVgo and ChargePoint, primarily), both in terms of reliability and charging speed. And I wholeheartedly agree, if you come to a charger that doesn’t work, call it in. If they cannot reset it remotely, at least it will get on the list for repairs and will hopefully be ready for the next person.
