Blue ring on the airbag

Anyone know how to remove the blue ring behind the badge on the airbag?

I don't like the blue and want to change it to silver.

I think you’ll find the the blue ring is part of the badge and cannot be separated.

Which car is this? The seats - e-copper- suggest LCI or roadster. The gearshift is pre-LCI though - whereas all face lifts have black ceramic, and the idrive should be ceramic too.

That will be a pain to wrap as it the disc cant be removed.

Maybe research plastikote vinyl spray.

You would need to mark off very well and protect a large interior area but I would think the finish will be better than a wrap with a joint or two or the danger of damaging the airbag cover with a sharp blade when cleaning up edges after the wrap.

From the GPS, the photo appears to have been taken on Lanzarote, so I suspect that this is a BMW photo of one of the press launch roadsters.

In the US Ceramic Controls were part of an optional package in 2019. My 2019 LCI coupe has the same shifter and idrive controller.

Sorry for the confusion, found that pic online...here's an actual pic of my car.

I found this trim ring on Amazon...not sure if it will work.
