My BMW 4.5.0 my trips activate

I updated the MyBMW app on my iPhone today. After the update the “my trips” section was stuck on “activate”. I checked in my iX and my data privacy settings were already set to share including analytics.

I had to soft reset the iX (hold middle console volume roller for 20 sec until main screen resets). Go back under system settings and data privacy. When I went into the menu my prior selection was gone and I had to reselect share data and analytics.

Now the my trips section is working again in the app with all my old data. FYI.

Fairly common with this section of the app, and the privacy settings have always been prone to lose their way. The fix is as you describe.
