i8 comfort access
Hey Guys, any other i8 owners out there able to tell me if the comfort access "open door by touching the panel somewhere" is working for you?
I'm used to just walking up to my X6, touching the door handle and opening the door.. my i8 doesn't seem to do this. The manual says it should, but its not working.. Any help appreciated. dave. |

MY 2014 i8s imported into the US don't have comfort access. We're asking about a retrofit.

Comfort access
It's not on the 2014 cars in the U.S. Supposedly available on the incoming 2015 models, but not sure that anyone has taken delivery to see if it is actuality installed.

The answer I want is to this question: Can we retrofit comfort access into the 2014?

Ahh that's a bummer. I have had Keyless Go (Mercedes) or Comfort access on all of my cars since 2003. While the i8 looks like the future car, taking my key out of my pocket to unlock the car reminds me of when I was a teenager.
