He has a commanding lead just like Hamilton. He raced really well in traffic. The only thing is that he didn’tdeny a pitstop like Hamilton would’ve done. That’s all!

And remember who was in second place? The guy racing the same car for a whole season.

What happened today proved how much the car’s performance affects the grid standings. If it was spec racing you’ll see Hamilton on the podium less frequently (along with other podium holders).

Completely agree, rematches it many times and can’t figure out why he kept his foot in it right into the wall. If he had hammered the brakes after the corner he would have still been racing.

Rewatch the footage after the corner and listen, he kept his foot in it and drove it into the gravel.

He drove smart braking early into the corner, unusual for him as he would normally go late, but after the corner he should have been on the left foot instead of the right.

Not obvious to a lot of people - the W11 is superior to the rest of the field, it's not even close, and plays more of a role than the driver IMO than what people are giving credit for. To sustain success, you need a driver with the x-factors which HAM clearly has.

I was a fan of Bottas but this season gives anyone enough reason for pause. Yes he has had crap luck but RUS was clearly the better driver from start to finish despite both of them finishing just inside the top 10.

Agree it was LeClair to blame for the mess at the start. Felt REALLY Bad for Russell who deserved to win that race. Bottas has to be worried. Very worried.

such a great race actionwise.. but after Germany worst pit work ever for Merc' which is a human factor..

felt so bad for Russell especially seeing him kinda crying after the race finishes while he drives back to pits...

but Perez.. he just deserved it, coming back to front after being last is a superb job even if Mercs were in trouble.. and i believe there is nothing more he should show that he deserves a seat.. after 10 years of waiting for such a thing.. its easier to say than done.. bursting into tears tells the whole story..

Leclerc's crash i dont think its all Leclerc's fault.. he may misjudged the braking point but at the same time Perez was aware that he was approaching that corner with few cars very close behind but took the corner like there is no one.. luckily his car didnt have a serious damage.. Lec can take the full responsibility.. cause he has a strong character..

first i thought Max caught by the accident but obviously he crashed on his own again.. again? hmmm..

and for Lewis part..

Russell is a very talented driver, no hesitation.. he delivered much more than he needed to.. but judging the whole picture by one race and track is a very narrow-minded approach.. what makes Lewis GOAT is delivering almost perfection each time he is on track.. CONSISTENCY is the key here OVER THE YEARS.. a lot of people is not even that consistent in their normal life aside from racing or anything professional..

and when you check the history of F1 you dont see such a thing that often at all.. everything in absolute harmony in recent years.. you dont be a champion by being best on 1-2 track or having lack of performance here and there..

so again, if you dont like Lewis you dont have to of course but it doesnt mean it should turn into something like a sitcom episode..

recent few races were horrible for Bottas.. i dont think he s feeling good about himself and his performance today on track against 3 days old at the same car Russell.. actually if Russell would win this race he was already in trouble but the problem is he did already without winning it.. i dont hate Bottas but this race will draw some more negative attention on him which is the last thing he needs at the moment..

Not taking anything away from HAM because driver involvement still counts but you're in denial if you don't think the W11 plays a huge part as RUS clearly shown for most of that race. RUS outraced BOT in this race and if it wasn't for the poor pit call and puncture, RUS finishes 1st or a podium finish at a minimum.

Fully agree, BOT underperformed in a epic way. W11 is fast, that's for sure. It takes a fast driver AND a fast car to finish on the podium. Neither merc driver did today, though they both had a fast car.

Good, I was worried. Neither am I. And I give HAM credit for sportsmanship (i.e. Apologizing for his mistakes, and when he ran someone of the road), as well as Racecraft. He complains on the radio a lot, but in the end he ends up at the top spot 4/5 times, or more. I'm pretty sure HAM would have taken the hard tires, and made it a 1 pit strategy. Perhaps 2 with the debris and possible puncture. THIS is how races are won.

Today, neither Merc pilot was even close to the podium. So respect where it is due.
