Does pre-heat feature heats engine?

Has anyone info, does the "My BMW" app pre-heat feature heats also the engine?

I thought that would be possible, because (as far as I know) same cooling lines go in the engine.

The "My BMW" app's pre-heat feature does not heat the engine. It only heats the cabin of the car by turning on the auxiliary heating system. The cooling system and engine are separate from the heating system, so the engine would not be affected by the pre-heat feature. However, some BMW models do have an engine pre-heating system, which can be activated using the "My BMW" app or a remote control, and this can help to reduce engine wear and tear during cold weather starts.
