Interior blue accent lighting

Hi folks, I am going to pick up my 2015 i8 coupe this coming Friday.
I am still learning about these cars. I note that it has a blue light running down each door.
I have seen pictures of cars which also show this blue accent lighting on the dashboard and around the gear leaver.
I couldn't see this in the sales video I was sent. So my question is whether this blue lighting on the dashboard is standard in a 2015 coupe? Does it only come on when you put in the lights?

Thanks in advance.
Mani

You have a choice between blue, amber, and white in the settings. I keep mine on blue (extended) lighting so it is always showing. Just need to change the settings in the idrive system if you want to choose any of the other two colors.

Brilliant. The dealer sent me a few pics. Indeed they had to select extended lighting. Cheers for the replies 👍

Mine is blue, set almost 100% bright, bear in mind it is difficult to see in daylight. It becomes more pronounced in a garage or especially at night, where you might find it is even "too" bright and might need to be turned down a bit...hence, mine is no longer at 100%.
