I seem to get best mpg in sport mode @60mph manually shifted into 6th. I saw 45mpg on 10.2 gallons was on the a1a in Florida 458 miles. Was a mix of 45&55mph speed zones
Edit: My dash mpg calculation actually seems a bit conservative. I usually get just a bit better than what is displayed. However @80mph I only get 31-33mpg. I'm surprised it doesn't do better my 2015 Comaro with a 6.2l v8... It does best @80 usually 32-35mpg as long as I cruise and don't play... Then I will drop to 15-18mpg😱. The i8 I can play all day and still get 26-30mpg.🤣 Last edited by tommyb13662; 03-14-2023 at 07:55 AM.. |

The mpg reading can vary wildly depending on how often you drive full electric versus using the engine. Seeing 68 mpg means you are not using the gas engine much. When I first got my car, I was seeing low 40 mpg. Lately I have been doing a lot of local driving in in electric only and the mpg is up to 55. If I take a longer drive, the gas engine mpg is around 35. If I go more than a week or two without driving the car, the gas engine will start up on its own when I push the button. At that point, I figure the car is just asking for Sport Mode.😀
