If I may interject here. Bumbu Rum. On the rocks.

Don't let him near it with a freakin' Coke!

Sorry for the late response...

In order:

1. Plantation XO
2. Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva
Zaya
El Dorado 12 or 15
El Pasador

Any of these will be pleasing. The Top 2 are exceptional.

Never heard of it. But if I buy Tequila, it must be extremely smooth!

Just lucked upon a bottle of Stagg Jr. at an out-of-the-way liquor store. It's pretty hot, and delightfully spicy.

I would add most (all?) of the Foursquare offerings to Marcus' list, as well, in case you strike out with his initial suggestions.

Damn it. I literally just got home from the liquor store.
I picked up a new bottle of Rum that I haven't tried yet. And they happen to have a bottle of Peach Crown that I had to have!
Tell me more about this one?
I prefer: Smooth and Sweet. The highland Tequilas generally fall into this category.

I see a Bumbu Rum XO
Several Plantation offerings, but none listed above, although there is a 20th anniversary edition
Ron Diplomatico Exclusiva is there, but only in 50ml bottles
No Foursquares found
And there is Kirk/Sweeney

Bumbu XO or the Plantation 20. Both very drinkable over ice.

i dont know tequila as well as i know bourbon or rye, but even with my relatively limited knowledge, i would not categorize this tequila as sweet. as i understand, it's one of the longest aged tequilas on the market, and the oak is definitely present along with that smokey agave. it has great mouth feel...nice, full, and oily. overall, i'd say it's more dry and spicy...think cinnamon and pepper...with some caramel to balance, and very smooth on the finish.

BTW...to each their own, but i would not drink *anything* with peach in it!!

^^ I hear ya. Then it's probably a lowland Agave tequila. Which are more pepper and less fruity by nature. Not saying it isn't smooth.
Enjoy.
