Ironically, I've spent the day watching one of my colleagues at work go nuts...literally! Somebody at the facility where he is currently an involuntary guest gave him his work cell phone back this morning, and he appears to be blinking between 2-3 realities at a time today. For some reason, I seem to be in many of them:

1) Last night, I spent the entire night with him looking all over the place for his missing car.

2) We spent last night at a hotel, and my snoring kept him awake all night to the point that he wanted to toss me out the window...that only opens 5".

3) He and I were picked as astronauts to fly on the next Space Shuttle mission (which is permanently grounded, FWIW), and I'm apparently an ace in zero-G training.

4) We are both being held at an army hospital for 1-3 weeks, with horrible army food and strict visitation/gift rules.

I truly hope that he gets well soon.....

Ordering parts at midnight...uh...well, now I have a UUC motorwerks short shift kit, proflex commander E85 flex fuel kit and a grom audio BT3 inbound. Hell, may was well work the trim pieces and suspension while I'm here!

And legendary inline sixes. At least they used to.

I took a very long, very therapeutic, "essential" drive yesterday to give the new clutch and AS short shift kit a good workout. Found some roads that I believe will be "essential" to revisit.

Today I'm going to revisit something else -- the confounded front turn signal that repeatedly declares itself MIA. I also want to replace the cabin air filter in the boring daily beater Lexus. It's amazingly hard to find instructions online for even the simplest tasks on that car.

Good Question

I work from home right now and staying entertained was on my mind. I grind it out at the computer, walk the dog, go to sleep and do it again.

I started thinking of things I could do to jar me out of the routine without risking my safety. I thought driving would be a great distraction. From 15m to a full day. So I started looking and ended up finding a very well cared for low kilometer lady driven 2009 128i.

I picked it up yesterday and drove it for a very entertaining 200km during the test drive, to get insurance, to visit my parents and then get it home.

It was fantastic. Feels like one of the smartest things I have ever done.

Best Wishes with the acquisition.
Driving whilst listening to music or my favorite books has long been my pastime.
Also...the price of gas has fallen off quite a bit down here. Hope the same up by you.

I like your style. I made ribs, and smoked a cigar and watched some old school Speed world challenge racing this weekend. My buddy gave me a few of these cigars, they were selling very well at his shop for some reason. HAHA

Editing old shots. This one is from last June. Just a standard rear 3/4 really, but new asphalt and an overcast day is making it exceptional. Well, and it's a Exige .

Bought a bass guitar yesterday. I played when I was younger, hoping I retained some of that knowledge, but we will see haha. Looking forward to it showing up Friday!

What did you buy? I took guitar lessons when I was a teenager. Gave it up for a few years and then picked it back up again in my 20's. When I had a much more stressful job, I used that as a stress reliever after work....with a drink or two.

I've thought about learning bass for no other reason than to lean some Justin Chancellor/Tool stuff.
