USPS losing packages

USPS has lost an insurance reimbursement check twice now. It's not like it's desperately needed, so it's really just an annoyance. Hopefully things will settle down in the next couple weeks..... hopefully.

Tell insurer to deposit via ACH or send via FedEx overnight.

This is an odd one... USPS delivered on time! But they did not mark it as delivered, so they now have an updated delivery date for this evening.

If the check doesn't show up by next week, I'll ask them do to something that includes tracking. I'm not sure how ACH works, but it's worth looking into, if it saves us this hassle.

Agree. I find the delays to be more of an annoyance as well.

I dropped something off inside the post office on the 16th. It finally scanned yesterday and is finally in the system and ready to begin hurrying up and waiting at my post office.

Usps strikes again! Package i ordered tracking now says it will be arriving late and doesnt offer a date. So fed up with this BS

Two packages were to be delivered yesterday that were not. Expected at this point honestly.

But what’s odd is the tracking shows that they attempted delivery but were unable to access my location. I met the USPS delivery person at my front door while they delivered the other packages! Couldn’t deliver them then?

I get it. They put this tracking info in as more of an internal code, but I just can’t stand how they stretch the truth in an effort to cover their butts. Further, their description makes it sound like it’s my fault! Can’t access my location because I forgot to shovel the snow off the driveway in Florida?

In the big picture, this isn’t a big deal. But this crap is happening on nearly every delivery... getting old...

EDIT: Now they’re just screwing with us... I met the USPS delivery lady at my front door last night when she delivered two small packages like some vitamins or something. Just looked out to our mailbox some 150 feet away and they left a 30 lb box of pet food out by the road. So they bring the small, petty stuff to the door but leave me to lug the heavy box up? Keep in mind they drove up my driveway...

Mine says it is still in transit to the next sorting facility. Now even with holidays. It left Nevada on the 23rd and it is coming to SW Ohio. Not sure how it is still in transit for 5days now not including holidays

The package that DHL dropped for the last mile on Dec 8 is still awaiting receipt at USPS. Meanwhile, I contacted the sender, they sent me a second order via UPS and I got it yesterday. . .

Has anyone had a package go the wrong way? I live in on the Western Slope of CO (on the border of Utah) and had a package shipped from Longmont (Denver). After weeks of no activity all the sudden it departed Las Vegas!

A couple years ago i ordered a charger for my macbook off amazon. Got the tracking info and said it was my address and what not. A few days go by and i check it. First off i live in Ohio. It says it was delivered. In Virginia. I havent lived in Virginia in atleast 4yrs.

I've seen many UPS/USPS Mail Innovation packages go right across IL where I live to MO, and then back to Champaign and then here. There is obviously a big USPS hub in MO where they hand off UPS packages to USPS.

My December Barkbox was in Kentucky from the 9th-18th.
Got to Bloomington, CA on the 20th.
Back to Indiana on the 22nd, WTF is it going back to the Midwest for?
Back to Bloomington on the 27th.
Finally says delivered today, hopefully it’ll be in the mailbox when I check later.
