I remember that one. I was in Knoxville Tennessee and it was closed. 9 hr trip home took over 30 hrs as they kept closing highways. A real cluster F.

I agree with Gabreigns. Hard to say what the old guys situation was... spouse died? kids neglecting him? Did not have money for a cab? Doesn't know how to use a cellphone? Dementia? Alzheimer's?
Agree with you. In the right mind he should not be driving. But then some of them do not have a choice.

Wipe the car with a broom. Even an old guy can do that, or pay the kid next door $5 to do it. Being old is no excuse for being dangerous to everyone else.

Does not matter. If you can not do it safely, then you should not be doing it. Period. I don't care what the situation is.

Perhaps he did not want to scratch up his BMW windshield and paintwork with a broom.

Even if I am, I am not going to endanger every one around me.

What if it was one of your family members he drove over and killed because he could not see them?

Well, this thread went sideways didn't it?

So be it.

I can control my destiny, but not my fate. Destiny means there are opportunities to turn right or left, but fate is a one-way street. I believe we all have the choice as to whether we fulfill our destiny, but our fate is sealed.

Sideways... True that! Good intentions always do this.

It doesn't take snow. They abandon cars in rain. Throw blinkers on and pull to shoulder, wait for it to stop. Not even kidding.

My M is safe and warm inside my garage. Not going anywhere. I grew up on LI and the people can't drive for shit in VA when the white stuff starts coming down. I have my townhouse stocked with wine and beer. Looking forward to catching up on some PS4 games and porn.
