i8 Rear Badge Delete
i hate the way badges look on cars. i've always de-badged my cars before they've even left the dealership on delivery. its like my little ritual. let me know what you guys think. i still have the temp on the car. dont mind that. i have some small cosmetic mods coming soon

i have the replacement reflectors as well. i just didn't install them yet. i also got the car tinted 15% but i'm thinking of also getting the windshield tinted as well. too many weirdos looking in my car all the time.

I also removed the badges. One thing I have to say is who ever decides to do this, be very careful as this area is plastic and extra care and patience is needed!! Also tinted 5% all around and 20% on my windshield. I actually think tints is worse for the weirdos because now they put there hands right up to the windows to look inside lol! But I have to say they're just admirers and can't hate on them

Ditto removed, I got the dealer to do it.
I figure if you don't know what it is, you don't deserve it to be explained to you!! |

hell yeah lets do it!! no discrimination
we are the rare few who like these cars. for some reason the i8 gets mixed reviews: either you love it or hate it. so we have to stick together

I took off the Edrive badge and left the i8. I have my front window tinted, sides, and limo rear window. Looks bananas!

You can see them in various shots in my suspension thread: http://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...8#post20823078
It's just an OEM reflector paint matched to your car. If you plug it in, it actually can allow a sliver of light to escape (which is barely noticeable and only at night, but I thought it was kinda cool). I'm not sure if it will throw an error if you don't plug them back in. |

Holy thread resurrection. My “E drive “ badge is losing it’s paint so I’d Like to remove it. I assume it’s just glued on so hairdryer and gentle prying? I understand it’s on a plastic panel so any tips appreciated.

A quick 30sec low to medium heat with the hairdryer then dental floss between the panel and the badge will come right off. Use Goo Gone to remove any residue.
