Retractable Front License Plate Holder
I saw these on ebay - there is a powered and a manual version.
Has anyone installed the retractable plate on the front of their i8? I don't have a plate on the front but don't feel like being pulled over every week. |

I know somebody that installed it on his M5. It ended up being s bit more complicated since they had to cut the mesh to make it fit under the bumper. It does work well though and a must in Chicago if you park on the streets or even o'hare airport.

I don't want to mess with the mesh since my i8 is leased. I guess I will look for another option.

I don't think this would work on an i8. There are actuated vents down there, with a solid bar down the middle. Not just mesh. Nothing I'd want to cut into.
Plus, the Swiss front plates are tiny, so not really necessary. |

Could always go with a tow hook adapter if the cops are that bad about it.
