e30 motor swap worked

after buying a 5 cylinder '87 325i in Feb, the swap is complete. The car runs and drives. I'm so stoked.

m20 -> m20. Bought the car for 1000. Don't want to spend more than 1000 getting it trackworthty. It's gonna be so nice to drive something that I can afford to total.

awesome. i need to get the camshaft replaced in my e30 and I wish I had the money to do a s50/s52 motor swap but I guess I'll just build up my m20 so that it is track ready. Good luck with your e30 man

Hole in piston #4. I was told it needed a valve job when I bought it. I assumed I would just send the head out for some work. Its nice when being wrong doesn't cost too much.

Congrats! Track car? These cars are a blast on the track. Controllable oversteer ftw.

To be ready for Buttonwillow in a few weekends, all I need are: cheap tires, and not-broken seats.

I don't mind giving tons of point-bys as long as I learn the lessons of momentum.

definetly not what I expected to see. Sucks that it wasn't really fixable. The smart money decision was a swap instead of a repair.
