Wrapping my new i8 Coupe Porsche Crayon Grey
So I have taken the plunge, in 2 weeks my i8 Coupe (white) will become what I can see as the first i8 in Porsche Crayon Grey.
It is apparently this years 'Nardo'..... With the large amounts of black on the car as well it is going to set it off perfectly. Look forward to showing you all! Here is the colour -

So got back from holiday yesterday and picked up the car. Full colour change from Crystal White to Porsche Crayon Grey. Front grille and rear grey accents wrapped in gloss black. Shuts and returns done too. Subtle but looks so much different from the white when parked side by side with a plain Crystal white i8... Thoughts?

Mmmm...ok. It just looks like your car is dirty and needs to be washed.
I hope you didn't spend a lot of money on this cause yeah...looked better before :/. But even if you did- judging by the looks of your home, you look like you could burn money and not flinch so good for you!

It looks fantastic! Subtle during full daylight but I'm sure it will darken up and stand out at night. Do you know what brand and color wrap was used?
You have a beautiful property as well. Cheers! |

Point taken SugarSkulls, it is not for everyone but in person it looks unique and better. BMW actually paid 50% of the wrap due to some paint contamination in the original paint (rear quarter) so it didn't cost me much. Loads of white i8's around, I wanted some individuality....

Cheers mbxion, it was Oracal Orca Premium Gloss Simple Grey which is the closest pantone to the Porsche Crayon Grey I like. At night it does darken up, the pics shown were in good sunlight at it's lightest. In person it looks nothing like white (or a dirty white car...) :0)))

I think this is one of those times when a picture doesn't capture the actual look in real life.
I bet this color is similar to the Avalanche Gray color on the Ford Raptors, which I love. Pics of that color make the truck look white on an overcast day, doesn't do the real color justice. |

Even it wouldn't be my choice it looks perfect and fits with the futuristic design.
Only thing I would do is some re-accentuation of the grille. |
