Anyone buy the iPhone 6 snap in adapter yet?

If so is it worth getting or just use the USB cable since there prob isn't much added benefit. Would like to know if reception is any better

I got one throw in with my car purchase. Truth is 90% of the time I'm connected with Bluetooth. For long trips I plug in. I do not notice any improved reception, but that may be that I get pretty good coverage in Montreal without an extra antenna.

I like the idea of the clip in simply for the "neat" factor no cables required. I would go for it. Although the iPhone 7 will be released some time this year. So if your planning on upgrading it may not be a wise choice.

If it's a small lightning cable as I've seen in pics, then it should work with the upcoming 7, provided BMW updates the software, should it not?

Yeah, cable should work fine. I was referring to the phone cradle not being compatible.

My mother has an iphone 6 adaptor in her 235. The reception is definitely improved, but I really dont see the point of it.

Especially as you have to remove the phone from any cover you have the phone in

I did notice in the i8 the USB power seemed lower than my i3 which will power the phone (for some time) once you power the car down

I have it, and it's a mixed bag, in my view. Main benefits to me are neatness, and being able to control the music through the car's controls.

Having the phone out of sight has a drawback, though, like when you're receiving text messages. I cannot get them to show up in the car under Connected Drive. I also have a radar warning app, of which I'd like to see the display, and it would be awesome if it transferred to the nav screen. But it doesn't.

I have mine for a couple of weeks now and the neatness is for sure the main advantage. It takes up quite some space, leaving not much left for anything else. The clip holding down the smartphone is not strong enough and the phone moves around when you take some sharp turns.

My conclusion, if you do not need to charge your phone while driving it is probably not worth the money.

Really, it moves around? Not in mine. The cradle is quite snug.

Yep it does. I have a 6s plus, which has some more weight than a standard 6, and it very rarely stays in place.

The clip sucks and falls off all the time. The wire is fraying where it meets the Lightning adapter. Piece of junk and takes up a lot of space. It does charge quickly though.

I wish I could screen mirror my phone to the Nav. I'd rather use Waze app for Nav than the BMW Nav.

Had the same problem with the clip and got the adapter exchanged. The new adapter does not have the clip issue ... so I would suggest that try the same.

What adapter do you guys use? This is mine, and it's pretty much rock solid.

I'll have to go to the dealership and see what other options they have. Thanks for the pics and recommendations guys!

Eight, do you have the part number for that adapter by any chance? I have the other one that was shown above with the clip that keeps falling off. Does yours fit iPhone 6S Plus and what's the difference between yours and the other one other than a better clip?
