Very Nice!

Trade the "Crapple" Interface for space which is actually useful!

Didn't there used to be some "How to" photos in this thread?

Is there a wireless charger you can plug into it?

There doesn't appear to be any official BMW snap in wireless adapters, which is very strange.

Some people have rigged up some wireless charging mats, routing the usb cable through from the front socket. That seems like a reasonable fix.

That’s what I did. Details in other threads.

Wireless chargers have a maximum charge current of only 0.6A. It doesn't matter how powerful the USB converter you plug it into - it will only provide a max of 0.6A. (Most USB chargers will provide a full 2.0 - 2.4A if connected directly)

You can't even run a power hungry app like Waze while "charging" on a Qi mat. The Qi mat can't keep up! If all you want to do is leave your phone in the console (and not use it), then a mat would be fine.

However, you will need a Directly Connected USB charger if you want to actually USE your phone and charge at the same time.
