Some improvements here, but also super super minor. Mostly disappointing in the interior which other than seats seems identical

I won’t be getting my next car until late-2026 or early-2027, so it’s just a waiting and watching game for me. Based on the options I know about, it will be between an M70 or Lucid Gravity. My personal hot take on the iX…

• Yay: Tanzanite blue
• Boo: CSS1 port
• Yay: Better looking 21” wheels
• Boo: Same performance
• Yay: Bigger battery and range
• Boo: Limited interior colors
• Yay: Better seats
• Boo: Round steering wheel & no crystal
• Yay: Lighted grill

Why does BMW copy unattractive design elements from lower cost vehicles? Looking at you X7 split headlights.

I think the center crystal knob and crystal control are deleted in the sport package that is standard in the M70. But you still get crystal seat controls.

Snap… they changed it in the 2025 build, so it looks the crystal controls are back. Initially, the crystal and wood were deleted with the Interior Design package. Now only the wood is deleted.

This is already available now on the 2024 iX and newer iX and other new-ish BMW EV models.

Double check how much crystal/glass you get. Someone on here mentioned they received a 2025 with the luxury package, and the iDrive dial/shifter was crystal/glass but no longer the seat controls on the door. Not sure if that will change or not, although the configurator page still mentions the seat controllers as being glass with the luxury package on the 2025.

Edit: Based on the video that was posted the seat controls are still crystal (along with the iDrive controller and gear selector), but the seat memory buttons are no longer crystal.
