If I make 600-800k/year, can I afford a 335i?

Should I spend the money? Should someone like me buy a m5 or 6? Or do m6 owners make more then me?

dude with that kind of salary you could afford a 328 but not a 335. 335 is more in the $1mil+ range.

man, in countries like that, you dont even need a BMW to be surrounded by women, being white, Chinese, or just not local will get you something out of it

So, what your saying is that, when I make 1 mil plus/year I can afford it? Or do you mean once I have a million dollars cash?

I mean, I just got a raise and I have like 500k in the bank, and I wanted to make sure that the e90 experts here at e90 post thought I was making the right financial decision. I just don't want to screw it up when you guys would have filled me in on the socioeconomic status/income/ which BMW to buy Ratio.

Another question, is it worth paying cash for a car vs. leasing so that I don't have to write a check each month? Considering I make 327/hour based on a 40hour week, that's about 5.45/minute. If I spend 10 minutes/month writing a check thats 54.50 lost, Which is great enough to offset the savings in leasing vs cash. Do you all concur?

Maybe you could post your feedback, as far as your income/which BMW ratio is and why.................

Hay! find another country to make fun of

but fwiw, cars more expensive in malaysia though, I'm afraid he might need to blow half his annual salary to afford a M6.

You need to be making at least 1mil a year and have at least $750k in the bank.

In your case I would lease so that you'll get the lower monthly payment.
Sorry to say my friend but your current salary will only get you a stripped 328(and a sedan too, not even a coupe) or a Civic Si.

yea I make two million a year and Im drivng a 328i sedan. Cornhusker I recommend you get at leat 1.5 M in the bank before you make any finacial decisions. I talk to my finacial supervison and he said anything above a 328i sedan is not rational on your salary...so I agreed and yea...stuck with the sedan : (

definitely cannot afford the 335...but if you do end up biting more than you can chew, pay for the car outright...JUST SAY NO TO LEASES!

SPINOFF - If you were Bill Gates, would you buy a 335i?

Or would it make you look somewhat of a cheapass, since you would be a multibillionaire?
