Leasing AND Get $7.5k Credit?

From what I've read so far, the credit comes back on your taxes if you pay cash or buy outright with a loan.

Has anyone had any luck getting BMWFS to credit them or found a third party financial lease company to pass it through? I saw some older forum postings stating BMWFS offered some credit in the past on other models.

BMWFS will not pass through the credit to you if you lease. Other makes will, BMW does not.

BMW Canada passed through the Ontario incentive when I leased my X5 45e in 2018.

You have to claim on your taxes. Even with financing dealer doesn't pass it through.

But with a lease you're not the purchaser of the vehicle, the financing company is the owner and they get the tax credit.

In the past with leases I've gotten a portion equivalent to the percentage of the value my lease represents (100% - residual), but it is totally at the discretion of the company.

Has anyone tried a third party lease company who might apply the 7500 credit to the lease payments or down payment?
