Any opinion on if they may do an online pre order type thing for this vehicle?

Is the parking assistant pro feature part of the Driver assistant pro package on the xDrive 50 as well?

You'll get tow ratings but good luck with figuring out tow range on an EV. EV's have all the torque needed for towing but lack the energy density need for towing long distance. I wouldn't plan on anything other than short trips around town with any substantial weight (and drag) being towed. You're talking about cars where the wheels matter in range estimates now you want to estimate the range for a small 4x6 trailer? A 21' wakeboard boat? A box trailer? Or just a small trailer with two jet-skis?
kinda what I was thinking but just trying to figure out if this can be a swiss army knife vehicle at that price or not when we go on fam vaca. it is 24ft boat over ~6-7hr 250-300mi trip.
Ditto. I'm trying to figure out if the current-gen iX does most of what I need living in Colorado. No question, it will satisfy my daily driving needs in the city and 2hrs round trip on the highway. ~165 mile trip from Denver to the mountains with four people and gear (which would include my Yakima EXO - which needs a hitch) in winter conditions? Feels like that might be pushing the range without stopping?

Yeah I think so. We go skiing in Breck. Fly PHL to DEN, rent a car and drive on I-70 to Breck so know the area. We also went to Aspen and Vail. Considering potential snow storms and slow traffic it might be pushing it. Based on my research count 30-50% range decrease if you are pulling a small-medium load.

You can start by plotting your exact route in ABRP and see what it shows you. This is of course an estimate but will give you a decent idea of whether or not the car has a chance of making it or not. It takes into consideration elevation changes (i.e. a Denver to Aspen route going through Twin Lakes [yes I know that route uses a stretch of road that is closed for 2/3 of the year] uses 80% of a full charge one way and only 67% for the return trip). In the settings you can add extra weight to the vehicle (i.e. 300 kg) to account for the weight of the gear and 3 other people. Doing this changes the calculation by a lot on the way to Aspen, but not by much on the way back. You can set an outside temperature as well and see how it affects your trip. My experience so far is that setting it to mild cold (-5C) doesn't really affect it much assuming you preheat while plugged in. A more nasty cold (-40) did add more significant battery usage. I have no idea how accurate these estimates are but it is better than nothing. If anyone has any experience with this, please do chime in.

Getting an idea of the extra drag caused by your Yakima EXO is a little harder. Based on what I saw by googling it, it should not be a huge drag on the car, so you shouldn't lose too much range because of it. But you can use your current vehicle to get an estimate of how much extra drag it adds when driving at highway speeds on a flat road. It will not be perfect, but should tell you if you are in the 10/30/50 % range hit ballpark.

When you do have a chance to try out your route on ABRP, do share your results. Would be interesting to see.

So I don't know if I should ask this here or start a new post.
The 2024s are out. There are a fair number of 2023 M60s "leftover." I am thinking of leasing given the huge incentives.

How much off of MSRP should I target for a 2023 that will sticker at $110-$114K?

You can order a brand new one for ~10% off MSRP and buy rate. 2023 cars will have the older driver assist feature, older/slower head unit, and pre-mitigation headrests. The MSRP for 2023 was also a little lower, maybe 2-3K.

I'd expect at least 12-13% off, but personally wouldn't consider getting one even if a dealer offered me 15% off. I value the driver assist too much, but that's personal. I'd break at 18% off, but that's not realistic.
