Nope, only that it was applicable to every incoming iX and was not likely to result in much of a delay in delivery.

Has your car's status updated? Are you at the port, or in transit?

If it flips to a 23 do I lose the B&W?

Thanks

So was in 150 status last week. Today SA told me I’ve moved to 112 status I believe and am a 2023 build (ordered in Jan supposedly from a cancelled reservation). Lost the B&W speaker option which I’m super annoyed by. He also gave me a different production number than what I had previously. The new number on the website is on the second dot as a 2023 production whereas the original one still just says order received. Is this common to get a different production number when switching over to next model year?

He claims that his best guess is I will get my ix50 in October vs a previously expected end of August. I asked about m60s in order to get the B&W speakers but he says They don’t have any allocations yet and so an m60 order could come much later.

What do you guys think? Does this all sound like it’s on the up and up? Im annoyed as rates have gone up, my price has gone up, Im losing a major option as we potentially head into a recession (which then could impact my trade in value).

Just got a call from my SA tonight saying they had a July allocation for my order placed in Feb this year. It's a 2023 model and the total price including taxes/fees went up $3k. With the ultimate package I got a couple features I didn't option in my 2022 build (glass & wood controls and soft close doors, interior cam, upgraded parking assist). He estimates Sep delivery.

Just a general update: my car is still at the port after 3 weeks 🥲🥲 I thought for sure it'll go on one of the two WW ships departing today

My M60 just hit production queue, estimated September delivery. Originally dealer had told me around Dec/Jan 2023 so looks like things might be picking up.

“On the vehicles concerned, the A-pillar panel holder may not be screwed in place according to specifications. Activation of the airbag, as well as causing the panel to separate, could lead to bending affecting the inflation behavior of the airbag and, in a worst-case scenario, damage the airbag, increasing the risk of injury.”

Or possibly retrofitting the hands-free tailgate opener (also seen). So I suppose we pick one. Or more.
Any updates on the stop sale?

Me: I don't understand why people check the status of their car production every day - it is like staring at the clock waiting to get out of school.

Also me: Check car status every day.

Haha, can't help myself

On the stop sale topic, I noticed while checking every day, the lumbar delete and hands free tailgate delete are no longer listed your car details in my garage. That would support the stop sale theory of adding a module which is a good thing.

Anyone get theirs recently?

Where do I see that in my garage? I don't see the deletion under "your selected options"

Its gone now which is my point, it was listed before, which may mean the stop sale is to put the item back it.

Delete hands free opening didn't show up in MyGarage on my order until 2 weeks prior to build. I think they're constantly hoping supply will come back in, and not making the call to remove until soon before they start each build.

My status is "Production Begins." Does that mean I am getting it?

That means it is on the production schedule but has yet started.

+ 2 ... it is gone from mine as well on the "My Garage" on BMW NA website.

According to a VIN decoding, it is still present as:
S32X Deletion Of Contactless Tailgate Operation

I asked my CA to pull a Vehicle Inquiry Report from BMW, and he says it's still showing as a deletion

I guess we'll see when I get the window sticker and play with the car upon delivery

Ah your comment prompted me to check mine, even though my car is at the port, and I no longer see passenger lumber delete or tailgate delete either..

Just checked mine as well, and the hands free tailgate delete is now gone on it, though it was there at least as of 2 days ago (which was after the build completed).

I guess BMW just doesn't want to talk about it, so they filtered that out from MyGarage.

Here's my build and timeline for comparison:
sapphire black iX50, 20"wheels, premium, radiant heating/vented seats, amido, driver assist.

10/2021 - order given to SA
~5/6/22 - status 150
6/24/22 - exterior body assembly, paint booth
6/27/22 - entering assembly line
6/28/22 - assembly in progress, quality, check, final assembly, ready for transport, awaiting carrier assignment
6/29/22 - dispatched from factory
7/4/22 - at the port

Seems like the build process, once it got out of status 150 purgatory, went quite fast and more in line with how things were in the before times. I'm guessing strikes/labor shortages at the ports will make the transatlantic trip take 1-2 months...we'll see

Mine is apparently at the dealer according to their website as of this morning (still shows in My Garage as "at the port") but difficult to tell what's actually on it (original window sticker, dealer listing and option list are all different). But at least one list has passenger lumbar delete and hands-free tailgate delete still listed. Will find out this week....
