Passenger camera when signalling right?

Is there a setting to display the passenger camera when signalling right? Coming from a Honda vehicle, this was very useful feature. You didn’t have to move your eyes far to do a quick shoulder check.

The closest I can come to is use the parking mode and select the passenger camera and then signal. But that only works at low speeds.

It does have a blind spot monitor and automatic lane change, in addition to the passenger side mirror, which works well in my X5. I really haven't found a need for a camera except for parking....

Being able to visually see a cyclist in the passenger camera gives you a lot more confidence than a blind side mirror blind spot indicator. I trust my brain's pattern matching system more than the little yellow triangle.

The other advantage is that you don't need to take your eyes too far off the road to do a shoulder check with confidence. It's hard to give this up.

I clearly have been living under a rock. Seems that even Honda is discontinuing LaneWatch in favour of blind spot monitoring like BMW has. Personally it's hard to comprehend. Alas, I guess I'll have to suck it up.

The automatic lane change works really well, and I use it exclusively when changing lanes (when conditions are met - the car has to "see" the road), and have come to trust it. In addition, European side mirrors (which you can install), are real-time monitors which preclude any blind spots at all - although the US mirrors when adjusted correctly do the same when turning or changing lanes. The combo of mirrors, lane change assist and just being aware is pretty solid. I think an additional safety feature in the iX models is that the doors won't open if it detects following traffic, including cyclists and maybe even fast-moving pedestrians.

Not for BMW.
But Ioniq 5/EV6/GV60 have this feature - 'blind spot monitor' and it works on both sides. Works quite well to be honest, and I hope more manufacturers like BMW would adopt it.

A friend of mine's Tesla received this feature a few weeks ago in a software update. So maybe BMW could as well? It is a very nice feature for sure.

Left or right turn should display the camera image in the instrument cluster. This isn't difficult and only requires some software code. To be fair, the Germans aren't very good at software.

Honda decided to discontinue “lane watch” 3 years ago…. It was a very useful feature don’t know why they got rid of it.
