Dispatched from factory
Hello all.
My iX 50 finished being built on 6/21, and was dispatched from the factory on 6/22. So far it's still in that state (both in MyBMW and according to Genius). Anyone know how long it can take to actually reach the German port? Eight days seems a bit long. |

Our iX went from Dispatched from Factory to At the Port in one day. However, it has been at the port in Bremerhaven for 7 days. Maybe they're waiting until yours arrives to put them both on the same ship. 🙂
In the end, there's nothing we can do to get these cars to our dealerships any faster than what will happen. Your iX will be in Hawaii before you know it. 👍🏼 |

Very likely through the Canal, but then probably to the West Coast (customs) and then transported to HI - one member reported 8 days from LA to Honolulu after delivery to Port Hueneme. All depends on the carrier (which your SA should be able to provide you once it's loaded)....

Often those same ships go on to New Zealand and Australia from Hawaii and those trips from Bremerhaven to the last stop can take up to 50 days! Gives you a whole new perspective on the delivery costs. They're a real bargain when your car is coming from Germany.

I've been watching your posts (and a couple of others that seem to have similar problems), and I have to wonder: did the steering rack fall of when they tried to roll off the assembly line? Seems weird to have that long of a delay in QA unless something major happened.

Same happened to my X3 back in 2017. Two weeks with no progress.

Wondering if its related to B&W Stereo or some other option. Its a loaded M60 with every box (except hideous exterior titanium bronze trim) checked. I also saw other posts about iX Stop Sale orders for a recall related to A-pillar trim / SRS safety issue. Could be related to that as well ... no one will ever know as BMW is not transparent in the build/custom order process at all! Good news, my G30 540ix also built 6/14/22 (ordered for mom) finally left Magna Steyr and is en route to port Bremerhaven (Bimmer Heaven) as of yesterday evening per the tracker. We've only been waiting since February 2022 for that to get built, with the Week 11 original production date moved forward and changed a dozen times! |

Our iX has been at the port in Bremerhaven for a week so hopefully your G30 and our iX get loaded on a ship in the next day or two and sail to the east coast.

Yesterday was the last departure to NJ for the next 3 weeks The G30 was bought through BMW of Reading, so could even make the same car carrier to PA, depending on where you car is going, lol |

Thanks, that's helpful. Looks like there's a separate K-Line Westbound RoRo Schedule for North America, with only the following destination ports: Baltimore, Charleston, Brunswick, Jacksonville. No love for the northeast
Schedule is as follows: Ship - Departure Bremerhaven - Arrival Baltimore Brooklands - 6/14 - 6/26 Hawaiian Highway - 6/15 - 7/2 Donnington - 6/24 - 7/7 Orion Highway - 7/2 - 7/14 Brooklands - 7/16 - 7/27 Hawaiian Highway - 7/18 - 7/30 Donnington - 7/29 - 8/10 Orion Highway - 8/1 - 8/13 |

I would have put money on your car leaving on yesterday's ship 'Don Carlos'. Website still shows my iX in Quality Check as of this moment, but a call to BMW i Concierge said the car completed final assembly on 6/27 and was actually dispatched to Bremerhaven yesterday 6/30. No assigned vessel at this time on my iX or G30 which is also en route to Bremerhaven from Magna Steyr factory in Austria |
