Anything else you want to criticize me or correct me on?

I come home everday. There was no pause from that leading into the next few words.

This day in particular he had been to a grooming session. He is a tiny dog, and it was just a quick cell phone pic.

Others on here seemed to recognize what breed he was.

I didn't mean to offend you. From your previous pictures you've got a nice, good-looking dog (a master of biting, I'd presume ) but that picture is of bad quality, he's out of focus, like your phone "thought" you were picturing the background that looks better detailed. I would take another picture but you don't really have to.

The start of your phrase (people are not scrupulous about punctuation here, not even I am ) just reminded me of some movie characters that admitted they came home to see how their families were doing very infrequently. This one in particular: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080801...item=qt0295141.

Sorry to take offense so quickly. I have some issues beyond my control going on, and I find myself at that "edge" much too often the last few weeks.

When I came in, I snapped a pic really quickly as I was in a hurry to do something else. Most of the time you can't catch him staying still long enough to even get a decent photo.

He and my wife are a few of the "grounding" things in my life right now.... and my wife won't pose for pics to go up here.

My pets have pulled me through some very tough times-I can't imagine life without them and I hope your life gets easier soon.

Thank you. I have to say that I know there are others out there that have it way worse than I do, so I really shouldn't complain.

My biggest issue is with my parent's health. I have a "solution" type of personality, and things I can't fix or remedy really get to me. I'm so used to being able to solve things.....and when they are beyond my control, I don't cope as well.

Yep, your parents health and family health issues can shake one to the very core.

Got a black female about 10 years of age who is sitting right by me. The only thing she doesn't like is loud rock and roll and other dogs, haha!

Lol.....they are awesome little dogs. Axle turned 2 a few months back.

He replaced a dog my wife had that lived 18 years! She came into our marriage with that dog. I let her grieve, and then told her I planned to get her another friend as long as I could name him.

Brought him home and he's been by her ever since.

Anyone had a dog with a partial acl tear? My dog has not gotten better and its been over 6 months. Any exercise and he is limping around and holding the leg up off the ground.

Sucks to see him like that, worried the other back leg might go and we'd have to put him down which I really don't want to do.

Surgery is too expensive. We are trying a weight loss regimen and keeping him on leash to limit the bursts of speed which I think is what keeps him triggering the tear.

Yes. Just an Xray (no procedure or anything, just taking the picture) they want $650.

Surgery is several thousand...I think they were guessing around $6K or so if I remember correctly when I asked. And even then, no real guarantee that he'll be back to normal. So far as I'm concerned, surgery isn't happening. My wife might bend me, but right now we agree no surgery.

If it came down to putting him down, she might not be able to not try surgery first. I would though.

So by "too expensive" what you really mean is the cost outweighs the value you place on your pet's life. You can afford it. We all could afford it. This isn't a Kia forum. I wont tell you how to live your life, but I feel bad for your dog and hope he's not in pain. If the dog is a senior dog whose end of life then I can somewhat understand, but if it's a young dog with a full life ahead I think it's just cruel to not try. Just my opinion. I'll butt out now.

No that's fair, and more or less you are correct. I'm not offended either, to each their own. He's 7, life expectancy is somewhere between 10-14 years. Not a young dog, but not terribly old either, sort of in the middle.

He's holding the leg up initially when he gets up from rest, but eventually puts it down after walking around for a few minutes, though I don't know how much weight he places on it obviously.

I think if I could prevent him from pulling and doing sprints, the tear could scar down enough to provide the support he needs, but that is more difficult than it sounds, he pulls when I take him for walks even if I shorten down the lead to my side just because he's excited initially, then he walks fine after a few minutes of pulling, but that is enough to inflame it again. Hard to fault him for being excited.

Anyways, we'll see - not going to imminently put him down, just hope he doesn't injure the other leg. Maybe with weight loss and that he'll heal up! Certainly hope so, it would bother me to put him down, but not $7K worth for a procedure that isn't guaranteed to fix things...just seems like a money grab to me.
