For balance, I too was very annoyed with BMW for increasing the price of my car. The dealer was getting nowhere with my complaint. Eventually the dealer said they could do nothing and I should contact BMW directly.
I did that, and within a few days they had sorted it all out for me, and have been very responsive and helpful with every single query I raise. So, they changed my mind about BMW and my initial negative opinion. I do still think they treat i car customers worse, charge us more for things (e.g. delivery), and there are missing features on the i8. |

Sold the 14 today (800 miles on it) and got the 15 with Comfort Access today
Could have sold the 14 with profit to two other parties. Sooo, if you have a 14 without CA and want a 15 with CA, then stop bitchin' and get on it. |

Anyone have this issue with the touch sensor: the open with door switch works great, touching sensor strip to unlock works great, BUT when I touch the sensor strip to lock 2/3 of the time I hear a relay but no lock horn/arm occurs. The other 1/3 of the time it works.
Thoughts? |

Photo would be nice but not mandatory. Thanks! Today is first day with the car. I hugged my dealer and he called "Security! Security!" |

Does yours ever click but not lock? Usually happens when I wait a few moments then try to lock.

I don't understand. What's the "park button"? Are you referring to the button on the gear shifter? If so, why do you have to push it? When? Do you mean the lock/unlock buttons on the key fob?

Hmm, they may have added a feature where the car goes into park if you push the Start/Stop button while stopped...which would be awesome. I can't count how many times I went for the Start/Stop and it wouldn't allow it because the car wasn't in park. It always felt redundant.

I also tried with the seat belt unbuckled. It doesn't work then.

My x5 goes automatically into Park if I turn of the engine in D. I remember in the M5, when I test drove it, I almost had to run after the car, when I just stopped briefly to show the car to the wife. When I returned the car, I saw the dealer jump into the csr when it started rolling, so auto Park should engage in every car with a joystick like the BMW

Noticing the same thing; I'll get out close the door then press or touch the the little square indented area over the comfort access and I will hear the click but the car does not lock; i'll sometimes press it few times and it finally works with the confirmation beep.. maybe it's an issue or I am doing something wrong

Comfort access (gawd I hate that term; sounds like a pay toilet) is very touchy. I often have to wiggle my finger for a while with either of my current 650s to get it to work. Same was true with my prior cars with CA (the GTs and the M6).
