I8 shows ‘engine level below minimum’

I was driving back to New York from connecticut for a friends wedding and a light went on that ‘engine oil is below minimum’

The bmw service centers are closed Sundays and I would need a loaner regardless. I cant take it to a regular mechanic as they likely would not even know where to put oil into an i8

How dangerous is it to continue to drive? I feel very idle not driving anywhere.

How long can one drive with engine oil below minimum and what are the dangers?

Hey! No worries. It's easy to add oil to the cars engine. Just take the protective cover off the engine in the back and a few other screws.

Very user friendly and the oil cap is right on top. Your owners manual is your friend.
