17K miles left for 11 months - Lease take over?
26 months into my 36 month lease and I have less than 13K miles. It's a 10k/year lease so 17K miles left for 10 months!
Just not driving much & about to lose my garage during a remodel & really don't want to be street parking this! 2015 Pure Impulse World. As you know they stopped making these. Limited edition. Rims are perfect and powedercoated by the dealer and have a warranty from them., front and sides are wrapped clear so paint is also perfect. Even the front seats were replaced a few months ago by the dealer (1st seat wore getting in and out). I also have the flat tire extended warranty, of which they've replaced 2 tires when they found a nail). I got it back when it was hard to get, so paid full price, and given lease prices now I'm a bit embarrassed that I'm paying over $2,400/month. However, I'll take a good offer from someone. I'm driving it about once a week these days. What is a fair price for someone to take over the lease given the low mileage? This is perfect for someone who wants this as a daily driver and wants to lease. Last edited by gadgetfreaky; 04-16-2017 at 01:25 AM.. |

So I checked with BMW, process takes about 30 days since they have to get the title back from the DMV which takes a few weeks before the assign it to someone else. I guess the process is $500, and they email a link to whoever is taking it over to fill the credit app.
The turn in date of the vehicle is Feb 26th 2018, so lots of mileage for someone looking for a daily driver for the next 9 months. |

still barely driving it..so if anyone wants to drive 16K+ miles over 8 months ping me.
$148,250 price of car plus add ons (1,500 for black powdercoating of rims and $1372 for road hazard, which replaces tires or repairs rims) $152,197 Payments are - 2437.99 Residual 85,985 30k allowed. 2/26/18 Last payment of lease and turn in date. I have about 13k miles Just paid $997 for the registration so you are good there. About to make the June 27th takes about 30 days for bmw to do the transfer, so figure i'll do the June 27th payment. and you'll do the July payment which makes 7 months and 16k miles! I'll make a deal.. otherwise, i'll just keep it which is fine. I ordered the Tesla 3.. so might just pick up something in the interim. What's fair? BMW transfer free is $500. given the huge amount of miles to be driven. How does $1600/month sound? would love feedback from forum. also, btw, I had it wrapped suntek, full hood, A pillars and doors, so it's perfect, no rock chips or dings. Also had the paint protected with Modesta clear coat. paid $3,445 for this the guy does amazing work out of san diego. Last edited by gadgetfreaky; 06-21-2017 at 04:06 AM.. |

lease
$1600/month sounds fair to me for an 8 month lease.
I just took over a 22 month lease with about 18k miles left on 2015 pure impulse i8 blue and am paying 1220 month and need to replace tires now. If that helps you |

This is a good opportunity for someone to try out an i8 without a long term commitment. It's an especially good deal for someone that can actually use up all those miles.

Car looks to be in amazing shape due to low miles!
7 months is an interesting time frame to test out a car...Great deal if someone can take time off work / is retired and go on a cross country road trip! Typical owner profile probably cant put that many miles due to work etc. When returning the car back to BMW, would new owner have to remove the powder coat? |

update, I realized last payment is 1/26 and turn in is 2/26
So anyone looking for a car for 5 months that they could basically drive across the country and back a few times since there's 16K miles available? |
