It allegedly only takes a few seconds to yank the rear seat.
I was looking at doing the iDrive NBT EVO upgrade on my car, and saw this video for removing the back seat and swapping connectors. Unfortunately, the person making the video is in Europe, where they use DAB terrestrial radio (incorporated into iDrive box) and not Sirius/XM:
