I’ve been on the waitlist since March, good luck! 👍🏼

I’m tired of waiting which is why I’m on this board checking out the M5. The M5 seems nicer in every regard. That 6spd is gonna be hard to pass up, though. Nice to have these choices.
M5 is definitely great too. My business partner has a M5C which is why I really can't get it. Lol. He beat me to it! it's a ballistic missile with 4 doors!

Cadillac Unveils Manual Transmission Take Rate for Blackwings

Cadillac Says 62 Percent of CT5-V Blackwing Buyers Opted for the Manual

So few new performance cars on sale today have three pedals, which means Cadillac is able to occupy the niche with its two newest track-ready four-doors. And according to data from the company, the choice is paying off.

Cadillac says a whopping 62 percent of the initial 250 CT5-V Blackwing reservation-holders opted for the standard six-speed manual transmission over the optional 10-speed torque-converter automatic, according to an email sent by a spokesperson to Road & Track. The smaller twin-turbo V-6-powered CT4-V Blackwing has a less shocking (but still impressively high) manual take rate of 45 percent. Combined, 53 percent of the 500 total Blackwing reservation holders have chosen three pedals—insane numbers considering how few new cars are purchased with manual transmissions in America.

That being said, these ratios aren't exactly surprising. Ultra-limited, hard-to-get cars like the Blackwings will often attract enthusiasts buyers who want to experience the best version. And while the manual versions aren't as quick in a straight line, they're no doubt more enjoyable to drive. And as we've seen from CTS-V prices over the last few years, manual-transmission variants of these cars tend to hold their value better.

So if you're one of the 267 initial Blackwing reservation holders who went for the manual transmission, we salute you. You're keeping the manual transmission alive in America, and every enthusiast should be thankful.

I wasn't a big fan of this color, but saw one (perhaps it was this exact car) this past weekend parked at a hotel in Western Michigan while at a hockey tournament for my son and really liked it in the metal.

High praise indeed, even comparing it to the likes of a 911! This is one hell of a swan song.

I knew the C/D review was just going to make my decision more difficult (I have an order in for a 5 BW and an M5). Waiting to see who can get me a car first.

BMW will be able to get one first but the BW is the last chance at a V8 Manual Sedan. I say its worth the wait

That last photo with the Caddy and G80 side-by-side, the Caddy is not a great looker but it looks great next to the G80. I still can't get over those beaver teeth that stands out like a sore thumb.

The G80's fat face makes it look like an SUV next to that CT5.

I admit that I'm juvenile, but certain cars make me yell things. Mk5 GTI tails make me yell 'boobs!' every time. The G8x is starting to get shouts of 'beaver!' in a similar fashion.

I agree but my real question is whether the motorcycle cop is about to pull over the Caddie or the BMW.

The CT4 Blackwing really interested me. The reviews on it were great and I figured I may trade out of the X3M to get into a manual sport sedan for a couple of years before they disappear forever. I noticed that the CT4 Blackwings were starting to trickle in to the first dealers last night on Autotrader so I started playing around with the config online. I was able to build up one to my liking for 67k with paint, wheels, colored leather and climate pack. If I build up a M3 it comes out to 74k staying strictly the same but I'd take another option which will hit 75k. So the V is around 7k to 8k less and looks better to me, not bad.

So I stopped by the local dealer here that's decent sized to check on allocations, residuals and MF. Unfortunately, this is where my journey with this vehicle ended. Current residual on a 15k 3yr is 48% and MF came back at .0021. The M3 is 54% and around .001 MF.
