Video of BMW i4 40 in Sanremo Green Metallic

Lots of images seen of the i4 in Sanremo Green Metallic but here is a video. Looks very similar to Verde Ermes?

The iX interests me more. Looks like a successor to my beloved i3 with that "floating" C pillar.

The interior looks futuristic, yet simple. I like it!

love it. Not sure if I personally would get that color combo but nonetheless it looks good and eye catching in that setting.

I am sad they dont offer the i4 in that copper-champagne satin as was the concept car, and no massive aero rims. I also really wish there was an option to paint the grille same as car body without consequences for the radar equipment etc. That would be a looker.

But today BMW color options are downright depressing. Bunch of dark greys, white and couple of blues. Here they have a green, but hardly an attractive shade (what was wrong with the Isle of Man green? that was cool!)

It is built in the same.plant as the 4 grand coupe. I'm pretty sure individual colors are available.

It may not be in the first round of orders, but maybe individual colors later.

It won't be long till competition model EVs will make the old ICE vehicles no more than curious novelties.

I’m considering taking a San Remo i4 as my company car, however, the upholstery buggers me. I either want whole fabric (not available) or brown/tan leather (also not available). The interior in the video looks great with the exterior colour, but it’s only available as faux leather. Guess I will have to settle with a black cloth-sensatec combo or leather

Apart from that, quite excited to experience my first EV. Also interested in hearing how the stock LEDs perform, or will I have to opt for the lasers.

If you opt for the M Sport seats, you can choose Cognac leather Vernasca. Check out i4m50_sanremo on instagram, he's ordered the M50 with San Remo / cognac leather combo. That will be a looker for sure.

I have a preorder in for the eDrive40. Real leather for me! It's only a matter of time until BMW eliminates using actual leather as many other car companies have. The fake stuff may feel and look about the same, but nothing else smells like real leather, one of the senses to excite.

I think this whole move to "vegan" leather aka vinyl is dumb. You can't get any more renewable than cow

So true.
We'll know when BMW themselves see EVs as mainstream offerings because they'll stop marketing these products to fringe groups who find value in "vegan" interior accouterments.

Until we stop eating beef completly, i mean never, what would be more wastefull than to trow the hides away?

And also for what is left of old school craftmanship with organic materials, how can you actually use an animal hide for that beats a premium car interior? I mean will any item you make of leather last longer while still being used every day for years.... ? It pretty much beats anything in that regard.

I hope and think leather will stay available to the people that love it in every way..

Thanks for the tip! The problem with that is that I would need to opt for the 5000€ M Sport package to get the sports seats, which would take me alarmingly close to our company upper limit, as well as shortening the range, adding road noise and reducing comfort through having larger rims. It would look tons better though, as well as have better seats, steering wheel and chassis…

Oh the difficulty I’ll have to start asking dealers, if they can do some exotic combo for me, so I don’t need to compromise

As for the leather discussion, I totally agree. As long as meat is being eaten, no reason to stop using the bi-products of it. Vinyl is no match when it comes to feel, smell and comfort. If leather were to be phased out, I’d definitely choose fabric over vinyl.

I agree.
We eat cows and that's not changing anytime soon.
It's not like we raise cows for hides and throw away the meat.

Cow hide is a natural resource and a marketable byproduct of the beef industry.

I'll be honest. I will not buy a luxury/up market car that does not have leather.
