Looks like the first video is out showing the i4 sprint from 0 to 200 kmh.

Can't blame the car for being slow. It is done in about 13 seconds

Yup, I'm getting around 12 flat. Well 200kmh is about 124mph. So does it hit 118mph in 11.7 secs. If so that would be as quick as a model 3 perf. Maybe someone can do an overlay?

Edit: The model 3P does 0-190kmh in 11.7 sec (qtr mile). Am I really getting 11 flat for the M50? Thats a significant difference. So in real world encounters, perhaps the Model 3 drivers won't be so cocky!

The numbers for HP/weight and Torque/weight are within the 1-2%.

I would say it's going to be driver reaction time in a race.
Don't blink.....

But do remember that BMW speedometer most likely overestimates the speed a bit. That's why most tests do not use the speedometer for measurement.

The speedometer is delayed too. So if you wait for the speedo to read 200km/hr you should also wait for it to register from zero, not just the sound of the throttle pedal.

Based on a low 12 second 0-200kmh, this should be solidly in the 11 s for a qtr mile time. Hardly what I would call a slouch! Im pretty sure the M340i runs about 15 seconds in the 0-200kmh sprint. As does the Model 3 performance. Is there anyway you could time this M50 video to make the M50i as slow as 15 seconds? I can't. Particularly from 170-220kmh, the BMW is noticeably quicker. 0-220kmh the Tesla takes about 20 seconds, the BMW 15 sec! Battery SOC difference?

Model 3P

I drive a 840D and am considering changing to a i4 M50 and was curious, so I put two acceleration videos side by side.

I was surprised by the difference !

I was hoping someone could put the Tesla Model 3P and BMW i4 M50 speedometer runs side by side.
