Keep the white interior sparkly clean?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Picked up my PI i8 last week, and after doing a search I can't find much specific advice about coatings on the leather to stop dye transfer. Someone used Modesta, which I have not heard of. Anyone else using OptiCoast or something similar? I would hate to turn the seats blue with a pair of jeans. Thanks! Peter |

Stay away from jeans. But yeah coating it with Modesta will surely help.

I have a massive dye transfer issue, esp. on the lower part of the backrest. It's from the dark belts I wear with my suits. I have now gotten into the habits of removing my belt before getting into the car, believe it or not.
There's a leather expert place in Germany - lederzentrum.de - that seems to have a solution, incl. a protective coating. Haven't tried it yet. |
