Bronze Trim Swap or Delete

I picked up my M60 yesterday and am considering blacking out the brone trim on the exterior. I didn't really want it but this model was my desired spec so I went for it. I have the 22" bi-color wheels with bronze accents.

Does anyone know if you can remove/replace the window sill and mirror trim (and door handle trim) with oem black versions? Otherwise I will just have it wrapped.

Similarly, the wheel trim looks like stick on plastic pieces (5 around the wheel). Can I just remove those plastic pieces entirely? I assume they have some aero function?

Based on this thread for i4 wheels, I am thinking they are attached with torx screw https://www.******.com/threads/remov...n-wheels.3637/

UPDATE - I was able to remove one of the aero pieces on the wheels. They are attached with 2 T25 Torx bolts each. Kind of a pain to get each piece off without taking off wheels, and the screw holes are pretty unsightly, but wanted to share here:

The window trim simply pulls up but is prone to bending. The mirror base would require removing the door cards. If you order the black parts from a BMW dealer you're looking at around $2100 (last time I checked).

Someone else on here removed the wheel inserts altogether, giving it that five spoke vibe.

Thanks - I think I’m going to end up wrapping the car/trim. Do you know if it’s possible to swap the “grill?”

Don’t forget that there’s a bunch of sensors and cameras behind that grill. Personally, I would not mess with it as dependent upon electronics as this vehicle is…

Anything is possible. The cost will be the determining factor assuming you are looking for the black and silver version.

Yeah it’s highly unlikely I’d attempt swapping it but just a thought.

Wrapping the bronze pieces on the wheels is not cheap, and a few high end and reputable shops said on the wheels wrapping would last 4-10 months, depending on weather and road conditions driven through.

When I had an iX 50, I wanted to wrap the wheels (the light, silver part). Both shops said they would do it, but were very up front about it not lasting too long.

My M60 has black trim, I don't mind to swap with bronze trim if both in local.
