I hope Karma catches up with these people.

Again, any suggestions on hand sanitizer?

Our town's Shop Rite store up here went from 24/7 to closing from 10P - 6A so that employees could re-stocking the shelves from whatever was delivered during the day. I'd check your local store for special hours, and be there before opening if you really need stuff that's in short supply.....

I would still be more concerned with starving than having tp for my bum hole.

We are down to 2 rolls, plus whatever is already in the bathrooms. Pre great tp crisis of 2020 wouldn't think twice of it. However my gf said she was able to place an order for food AND a pack of tp online for delivery on Monday. We'll see if it shows up. I hope so because I sure as hell don't want to have to go to a store.

Looney in stores

If you can hang on for a few days, it will be OK.
But, what will all these little old ladies do with the 2000 rolls of toilet paper?

Maybe wrap your Beemer in it if you park in front of her house?

Hope it does!

We had just got a pack of tp and paper towels from Costco as part of our regular purchases before everyone went nuts a few weeks ago.

Our school has hand sanitizer dispensers everywhere. I use them at school and use soap and water at home. If you're using hand sanitizer at home, you're wasting it (although upstatedoc may overrule me on that).

Good luck finding either of those
Me and a friend ended up resorting to watering down some gem clear (off brand everclear in a plastic handle) and adding some lavander essential oil because we couldn't find isopropyl anywhere

Still working on the gel-ification aspect though

I predict when this crisis passes, that TP'ing houses will become a *big* thing.

One of the shortages that caught my attention today was the lack of large bags of cat food. I guess folks are worried they won't have enough pet food if things go south?

Other than TP and hand sanitizer, the local stores seem sufficiently stocked. We had no problems stocking up on the basics today.

We have two dogs that I adore. I'll pick up an extra bag of food for them next time I see one. If things get so bad that there is no dog food then I may be able to do a review on grilled dog. I hope it does not come to that.

No meat, no eggs, no water, no napkins, paper towels or toilet paper. Cleaning supplies there but few choices. Canned goods not bad depending what you want. I found it funny that the Spagettios were sold out. I wouldn’t eat that ever! One of the workers told me she restocked the paper goods isle 3 times yesterday and stuff flew off the shelves. This is ridiculous.

If everyone did their normal shopping, there would be no problem. The panic shopping is impacting supply chain. Manufacturing now has to catch up as the inventory on warehouse floors has been depleted on many items. The FMCSA has suspended hours if service regulations for drivers delivering certain commodities including food, water, medical supplies.

You underestimate the scumbaggery of panic buying. From past experience, everyone will return their hoarded supplies to the stores for a 100% refund once the danger passes. Seen it happen numerous times in the past with pallets of bottled water before storms, and even portable generators being returned to the big home improvement stores both boxed and sorta-boxed with dirty oil in the crankcase and a splash of gas still in the tank.

Mark my words, stores will have piles of returned TP outside at 75% off in a week or so.....

Was able to pick up some blueberries and ingredients for chimichurri at Publix. Plenty of fresh produce available. Didn’t need anything else but looked around the store. Some (shitty looking) Publix chicken and pork chops, very limited real milk (quarts of real but plenty of fake milks - almond, etc.). Publix brand paper towels available. No TP, pasta or bread.

FYI... To those that can't find TP even online (there are more eRetailers than you might think) your next best bet (coming from someone with major seasonal allergies) is Kleenex, Puffs, etc. I know for a fact that Amazon and Home Depot, etc. It will double as TP easily.

Without getting into technicalities... there are ways around not using any of those

LOL... All of the trips I have made to Europe, I have never had the urge to try one yet. I hate "bomb splash", let alone a steady stream of water!
