This does not fix the biggest problem. Want to guess what it is?

Wow, I agree with virtually nothing he's saying. Specifically in the beginning:
- It's not a complicated design - BMW's lineup shouldn't all look the same because then they'd be Mercedes and everything would be boring and unoriginal - The differentiation BMW has within their lineup is specifically what gives character to each car, appealing more to each individual segment they compete in - Towards the end he mentions that BMW is just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks...sure, because that's exactly how a huge, publicly traded, for-profit, longtime business like BMW operates.... The end result looks like an amorphous, miscellaneous crossover that looks a lot smaller than it should. He threw a curvy front-end on a car with monolithic (as BMW put it), more angled sides, which someone like him should realize doesn't work. If BMW made the iX like he drew it, proportionally, it would look incredibly odd. I'm not saying the iX is perfect the way it is, but man...I don't think he fixed it at all. He's very sensational in his presentation and his Phososhop skills are very good, so I'm sure he'll gain a lot of traction with his followers... |

Making the ix looks like a normal bmw defeats the purpose, polarizing brings new buyers to the brand, remember when the X6 first came…

Same here. As much of a critic I've been of the iX's design in the past and even currently, it is a design that is slowly but surely growing on me, and I'm even starting to see the logic in that design. Do not like this sketch version at all - it's just trying too hard to make the iX look more like mainstream current BMWs and a lot becomes lost in that translation. Production design is much better and should stay where it's at, though I wouldn't complain if the kidney "grilles" could be made just a tad bit shorter in height at the bottom extension.

He "fixed" it from a unique and interesting design (if polarizing to antique roundel fanbois - we've owned about 10 BTW, including an M5 in Germany) to a Chevy/Ford/Hyundai/Honda/VW/Audi/Volvo/Nissan/Chrysler/Toyota/Lincoln mashup that appears to have been compressed laterally by a trash compactor. Not time well spent.
