Small thank you i8 model car

Have others received their small thank you gift from BMW? If so, was the color of the model you received the same color as your car. My car is grey but received silver model. Just wondering.

Oh, I bought my car about a month ago so I figured that others who have had their car for longer already received this item.
Here is a pic of what I got yesterday in the mail. You can send the part that says BMW i8 under the car to get personalized with your name.

I received a silver (small) car yesterday.

And my (large) car is Mephisto Gray.

...uh, I meant to say: Sophisto Grey. Whatever.

I think I might paint the little one with a bottle of touch-up paint... so the color is "correct".

Ok, so it looks like everyone, regardless of the color of your car, is getting a silver i8. Pretty cool anyway.

I've had my i8 since mid November and all I've received is some marketing material, which was wrapped in a box as if it contained the crown jewels, and then a letter congratulating me on my i3 purchase along with a thumb drive.

I guess I am not worthy.

Just got mine today lol. I bought the white with grey accents but received white with blue accents. I sent an email to ask for my exact colors, we'll see.

small cheap one but they dress it up nicely in a clear plastic box.

Cars are either ionic silver, blue, white or The dark mophisto grey (almost black).

Did you get an ionic when you own a mophisto ??

I have received a white one while the real deal is protonic.... I guess they just sent out random colors.

Didn't get a small one, but perhaps it is a USA only thing? I am in the UK.

I did receive a big remote controlled model of the concept car one month before getting my real i8 though. Did USA customers get those too?

Haven't received anything. Then again, to date, BMW hasn't seemed to have gotten much of their info or mailings correct. At least none of my i-Pure Impulse material. Makes you wonder.

Can't believe this is the only thing we get for the i8... For the i3 we got the thumb drives, as MalibuBimmer mentioned, and recently a pair of wireless Harmon Kardon over ear headphones! I am really impressed with what they've done for the i3 so I would be surprised if that is it for the i8...

We got none of that in the UK

I too have received nothing but the incorrect thumb drive labeled for i3; does the dealer arrange for these type of things or what?

Being Brits in the USA, we feel these gestures are more surprising. Cannot really imagine much of the same thing back home, unless, of course, you're buying a hyper car.
