What is see isn't what you get. The car's computer approximates distances based on a prior drive. Resetting the electrics defaults it to a higher range than we see in the real world.
Coasting down the mountain adjacent my house I've had the car tell me I had 29 mile range in electric only. In the real world it was closer to 16-17 miles. These days my car usually says 18 mile range in electric only and I can barely eek out 16 (but I have a lot of hills).

E ranges are all over the place. I can only guess that previous driving and temperature of the battery cause these differences. I have not noticed any range benefit from the more powerful charger. |
