The more I see it the more I like it, but maybe that's because I like BMW's more than Toyota's. Looks like its sized correctly and not elongated like most newer coupes today. Hopefully they release a manual version.

I also like it but fear the final product might be a little too busy...I really hope they make a z4 coupe with similar proportions but a cleaner design...and a manual of course

A few more pics from the streets of Japan. To address a few of the concerns. The assistant chief engineer well as ToyotaUSA has stated a manual transmission is on the table. Those that fearing that its just a reskin Z4, there is word going around that Toyota had more involvement then what is being let on. Perhaps even the involvement of Yahama on the head for the GRMN version? We'll just have to wait and see. Two and a half more months to go.

Hah, those latest three pictures above in red actually look great to me! Sorry for the dumb question, but are they using the "Supra" logo from the MKIV as pictured? If so that's a huge win.

I almost like the MKII, I really like the MKIII and MIV. Those two are really the pinnacle of the brand. The MKIII was very understated, but classic exotic Japanese with a bit of mystery as it was fairly rare in the US (at least the turbo). The MKIV took it to the next level and really upped the performance. This MK5 just looks poor IMO. I'd rather have a MKIV with almost the same body shape and just modernized. Toyota and Lexus styling is just crazy bad most of the time. Celica GT-S, MR-2 and Supra were the hey-day.

lets slow down and think for a second what the 4th gen Supra meant to the world and the capability it had for the time... if u think about that, then u will realize this is simply whoring out the Supra badge for a very expensive frs

Let's not be selective with our memories and think for a second what the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen Supra meant to the world and the capability it had for the time too. If you think about that, then u will realize this is simply another Supra at a new time.

Somehow we progressed to 355hp in 2018 when Camrys make 306. Then they have the nerve to make it a BMW, I think Toyota has lost it personally... at least Nissan made a worthy successor to the Skyline; one that has broken record after record.

My point is the Supra "badge" wasn't associated with any over the top performance for 3 of its 4 generations. When you consider the entire history of the Supra, this 5th gen will easily be worthy of the nameplate.
