Put my Batman mirrors on today!

Lol. Just wanted to try these as they where 30 bucks on eBay.

I think they work!

I'm getting ready to update my tired 2014 with some 2020 flair and this is just the start.

Full i3S conversion coming

Even down to the shocks springs and sway bars.

Having some fun !

Do they reduce the buffeting when driving with the windows down?

That is an excellent question and today was raining so maybe tomorrow I'll let you know.

I slapped on the black out grills off the S today.

Looks nice and mean. Best part is the parts are pretty cheap. Only about 47 bucks a piece. And painted from the factory!

To answer your question they do get rid of the buffeting. Had the car up to 70 mph today and only one window down and absolutely zero buffeting

Hey those looks sweet on the i3, have some on my 440i convertible. Might have to grab some myself. Now you just need some of these and you are set!

Where’d you get these from? Do they replace the caps currently on the mirrors?

Yes full replacement caps. Just have to paint to match. Or go black like I did.

Their on eBay, pretty cheap.

This is who I got it from but theirs so many not sure if others are better or worse quality.

Once installed they look fantastic. And strangely work very well with its styling.

These need to be painted but it looks like some come painted black already but like I said I can't comment on their quality. Because these needed paint the body shop got to refine the surfaces somewhat before final paint was applied so their was no quality issues.

Lol
Yea the design of these M style mirrors actually work very well with the i3 design language and give it a nice updated look over the normal one.

I finally ordered a set. There’s a lot and the above linked ones are now sold out. Found a set of “carbon fiber” ones (for $33 shipped LOL) and I’ll report back. I’m more excited about the buffeting than the look, but it’s a win win... just will need to color match these and my hood though I haven’t given up hope that I can get them wrapped to match vs painting

Cool! Yea your still gonna get the occasional buffeting with cross winds but frontal directional buffering was a huge improvement from the stock ones. With the driver window down if hit 65 mph and it would be wub wub wub wub….. then after I popped these on it went away.

But I get the occasional side winds from fields and stuff and you get the buffeting but the mirrors can only do so much lol.
