defect code 0061170700 while @ VPC/VDC
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com has a defect code 0032360300, carried all the way for the other side of Atlantic to NJ. It closed about 7 days post arrival. Then, about 5 days after clearing 323, code 0061170700 appeared and marked as "OPEN" on the recall search tool https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app/ Anyone experienced this and knows what this 611 code is? Thanks in advance! Last edited by LeeInCT; 11-05-2022 at 11:11 PM.. |

DM me your VIN and I will see if a SIB document is available for that code.

Sorry folks, there's not much more to say about this recall/stop-sale. Don't be too hard on your dealers/service people...they know as little as you do at this stage:
The CCU does not appear to be a NOS part so it should not take too long to replace. It could possibly be a software issue too, though the CCU part is common across the entire iX range and the recall does not appear on older cars.

Thanks Hugo
that's so nice of you. I have heard the number 53 (or 43) cars are recalled I did a little digging on this. I tend to think that the CCU referred here is the one where the charging is plugged in, where the normal gas tank cover is. There is another CCU (central charging unit), which is under the hood cover of the car. Correct me if I am wrong... Here is a low resolution picture showing i3's essential parts. |

Great info, again!
I am hoping that with this update, the NJ VPC can finally go ahead with the work order now (It has been exactly a month since the car got there). Maybe without the new SIB it is just a stop sale, and now with this new SIB there is a remedy now. |
