What do you use your Quick Access Shortcuts for?

Now that I've had my iX for about a month, I've been wondering what to use shortcuts for. Currently I've only shortcut for Assisted driving distance.

I was wondering what you all have set your shortcuts to as I'm sure there are some great ideas that I haven't thought of.

So what are you all shortcutting?

I have them set up for things like iconic sounds and air recirculation but in reality I hardly ever use them. Most the time I’ll just ask BMW to change settings.

I have them programmed for phone numbers I use the most, but 99% of the time I do not use the shortcut buttons, because unlike past BMWs, these buttons are not exposed shortcut buttons like they used to be.

I use the shortcuts a fair bit - the main ones I use are for air recirc mode, sport mode, live trip computer data display, Apple Music shortcut, Apple Podcasts shortcut.

Waze, CarPlay, recirculate interior air, Sirius XM, podcast app, drive recorder

I can tell bmw to switch air circ to auto but can't figure out how to get it to switch to interior air.

I primarily use it for air re-circulation on/off.

In my i3 I use it for navigating to Home and a couple more programmed with my wife and kids phone numbers.

Can someone share (maybe with a video) what these Quick Access Shortcuts are that y'all are talking about? I searched the manual and it wasn't helpful. Many thanks in advance!

If you hold down pretty much any button, you get an option to add it to shortcuts. Then, if you press forward on the iDrive dial or swipe down from the top right corner of the display, you get a display of these shortcuts and you can select one.
