thoughts about seat Care

Please correct me if Am wrong... I've read these seats are treated with an echo friendly protection which isn't as lasting and or protective as other BMW seats. If this is the case would love feedback on how best to add better protection or treatment.

Everyone stay safe

I guess you mean eco friendly. Don't have anything to say about that, don't know. Other than in other cars it's not "vegan leather" = plastic you sit on. Leather treatment is nothing new. I cleaned the driver seat once with leftover Audi stuff without using the leather protection because that was applied directly after when the car was ceramics coated. No idea what they used...

My latest car go had an Autoglym treatment on the seats from the dealer (that I didn’t play for - making this point because I never thought this treatment was any good despite the warranty that comes with it). Haven’t had the car too long to comment but my last car didn’t have any treatment and I had no problem cleaning the seats once in a while for them to come clean. Car had 40k miles on it when sold and the seats still looked good.

I believe to you are right, there is a lot about the car that is eco friendly in the trim used etc.

Hope this helps...

Yes that's what I meant eco-friendly, sorry, so was wondering what kind of leather protection have any of you done that improved protection? To add longevity to the leather.

I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner , have used it for years , seems to help keep the leather lasting longer, ju my 2 cents .

Spinneybeck

I only use Spinneyback leather cleaner and conditioner on BMW leathers since it cleans and maintains the matte finish. I really dislike the shiny, slick looking leather treatments.
