So, I need to write a rhetorical analysis essay that has some connection/relation with mechanical engineering.

I never wrote this kind of essay before so I really need help on chosing the right topic for it.

I already wrote one but its got rejected because I started with wrong topic and the essay end up became some sort of research paper, not rhetorical analysis essay.

So, my professor gave me another chance to re-do it.

This is 30% of my total grade so I need to do really well on it since I didn't earn high grade on class debating/discussion.

This is a writing class. I don't know why she, professor, want to do class discussion/debating stuff. I hate talking. I mean, this class talk too frickin much.

Anyway, I really need help for chosing topic.

1. it must have some relation/connection with mechanincal engineering.

2. topic must be from proven organization and not casual. (eg, NASA, govn's organization.)

3. I need to make claim on that topic.

4. paper requires ethos, pathos, logos, and shared values.


I can't not ask you too much for this. but I really need your help for the topic.

Wait so basically you need to analyze the rhetoric of a document written by a proven mechanical engineering organization? Damn that might be tough with mechanical engineering hmmm....I can't imagine what type of arguements they would use to appeal to ethics...

It is nearly impossible to find suitable topic.

How about some document that argues for the use of hybrid cars? I bet all the elements you need could easily be found in it(need to find a good one though).

Are you or anyone you know a member of an Engineering Institute? These normally have (online) member access to papers that you are after.
