Couple of questions.
If 2 cars are racing/ speeding which car gets pulled over ? When that happen to me couple years ago I was the car in front and the officer pulled over the car behind me luckily.

Also what's the best way to get out of a speeding ticket ? Just be nice and apologize and ask for a break ?

There's no real answer to your first question. Sometimes we go after the car ahead and sometimes we settle for the car that's easier to catch. Sometimes we'll bypass the car that actually stopped/slowed down and chase the rabbit up front. It's much more fun to be in a pursuit. .......well, sometimes. Pursuits are dangerous as hell and almost never end well.

As for your second question, yes, simply acknowledge you were speeding and ask for leniency. You have a 50/50 chance of driving away with a warning. I warn more than half of the time. I want pedophiles, traffickers, gangsters, guns and dope......and drunk drivers. Speeders, people who run stop signs, etc. aren't my priority most of the time.

And while I would never engage in such pursuits, I also heard that for higher speed work, staggered, rolling spotters work very well, too.

As I said, so I heard.

Awww yeah - hypothetically, let's say I remember doing the same with a buddy and a few others in the back roads of NOTL...now this (again, hypothetically) would have been 18 years ago when there was a lot of unpopulated back roads to choose from with no traffic, and nice and flat. Even had a flag girl one time (again, hypothetically).

I found out about 3 years later that she apparently liked me - was completely oblivious at the time, but wouldn't have really mattered - while she was definitely attractive (Italian), she wasn't a Christian (was Catholic as most are), and that would have been a hard stop anyways.

What?!?!

Catholics are Christians, as well...

Where do you think Christianity came from!!

Not starting a political or religious conversation.

Not Catholics.

Some Catholics are Christians. Others are not. The beliefs are different - again, without trying to start a religious thread. Happy to continue in PM though since that probably doesn't violate the rules!

Hypothetically I think Catholics consider themselves christian. At least my Irish Catholic father did, my Protestant mother too.

You should talk to MKSixer about the one that got away.

As someone who spent more than a decade advising municipalities all over our region about how to STOP street racing, I get depressed for days whenever I see a news report about yet another street racing fatality. Take it to a legitimate track.....

Yes, they do to the best of my knowledge consider themselves Christian. An alarming number of them also rely solely on their priest to interpret the scriptures for them and don't bother reading the Bible themselves.

But, there is that other population that does read the Bible for themselves to figure out what is true, and they realize that salvation is not based on works, and trust solely in Jesus, not the Pope or their priest, and these people are Christians. And Catholics.

I know in the past, the Catholic church used to sell indulgences, my guess is that they don't do that anymore, but I have no idea. I suspect they still exist, but just not commercialized anymore. Still, that notion that an indulgence is required before your sin can be forgiven is not Scriptural.

Your point about reading the bible I suspect isn't just true of Catholics, I'd be willing to bet that many folks who call themselves christian accept the word from who ever ministers to them. I call myself a christian although I don't attend church or read the bible, but I live my life according to my christian upbringing.

Yes, seems like Joe is applying his definition of christian. Apparently he's never met a baptist!!

I'd agree with you here as well, though it was only because we were specifically talking about Catholics that I mentioned them specifically. But I'd agree, there are lots of people who would call themselves Christian, and yet would have rarely or never opened their Bible and would therefore have little to no understanding of whether they were in fact a Christian or not. A lot of these people are going to be surprised come judgement day that they were not in fact saved.

lol, that would be the denomination I'd most agree with. Why do you feel I am applying my own definition - where have I gone off the rails?

By mentioning religion at all!!

Specifically this part of your post "she wasn't a Christian (was Catholic as most are), and that would have been a hard stop anyways."
