Burning Clutch Smell??
Hi guys, I have a 2019 Roadster and yesterday I was visiting a drive tru McDonald's
with long wait times and the car was in a mix of Park mode and D. Then there seemed to be a strong smell of a burning clutch! Seems crazy I know as initially I thought it was from the car in front and there was no smoke, just a heavy smell of clutch or really hot brakes. when I got home there was still a reminding smell. Any ideas what this might be? No faults showing either. Thanks. |

Did you check the brake discs? One may be hotter than the rest.
That clutch smell is the same you get from a stuck calliper I know as I had one seize up on a E92 before. Thought the same my clutch is gone. Easy replacement. |

The i8 has an automatic transmission so there is no clutch.
Definitely smelling the brakes or someone else in the drive thru lines burning clutch.
