Anyone in the UK I've spotted a UK i4 forum (although pretty quiet /dead at the moment.)
https://www.i4forums.co.uk/ Might be useful once people start placing orders. Not really found much in the way of UK based info yet.

We pre-ordered an i4 M50, most probably a MY2023.
No ordering guide yet for the USA, but if the M440iX GC ordering guide is used as a sample then the i4 M50 will be quite nicely equipped standard, with few essential options. However we will insist to have the M Sport seats with Individual Manufaktur Merino interior, and Individual exterior. Otherwise we will cancel the pre-order. We are not happy with the standard rear air suspension, but we can manage it. |

Sounds like most here are going for the M50.
In terms of value, how would you compare M50 and e40; the difference is $10,500 USD. Please include any insight on the difference of standard features for US model. |

The lack of an official US pricing/ordering guide for the i4 makes it difficult to compare standard equipment content and pricing between the 40 and the M50. What is known for a fact is that $10,500 buys at least a second motor, the M Sports Package, adaptive suspension, 19” wheels, and the extended Shadowline trim.

Exactly! Don't know why BMW is taking so long to come out with this info on one of their largest markets. For me when boiling it down, power is nice but I'm happy with the 260HP of my 335D, I really do not need more, I'll take the range. I do want all the comfort/lux/driving assist items. Living in the NE, having AWD would be nice but not at that price unless it includes a lot of options.

Pre-Ordered The Day It Was Announced
I pre-ordered the i4 M50 the day, actually within hours, of announcement.
I checked my dealer and I'm position #1 in their ordering slots. Now I'm just dying waiting to see what will be available US.

Joining your ranks. Well, my wife is. Pre-ordered an M50 tonight. She told me I have to get rid of my X3MC or my 392 Wrangler to make room for the i4. This is going to be tough.

Is it one price MSRP(without dealer markup) from BMWNA since it is direct order?

I am not sure who controls the sales price(e.g. MSRP, no markup), BMWNA or selected dealer.
BMWNA has 100% visibility of pending orders per dealer, so BMWNA can allocate directly based on number of customers in wait queues, and provide accurate delivery dates to individual customers. |

I read elsewhere, most car makers will be adopting the Tesla ordering route. My only problem with pre ordering is when the delivery date gets extended cuz at that stage its not like you can goto another dealer and grab another ev off of a lot. |

Pre-ordering was important to me as this gives me an allocation after July of next year. I do expect that allocations will be rare after July 2022 if not pre-order now. |
