Picked up wife's ride today. This IS what a luxury EV should feel like.
The color is much lighter what's portray online configurator and marketing pics. I think it looks very elegant live.

I have owned 4 Teslas since 2016 (P85, 100D, MX, 100D), other than the p85, all gave me nightmares, horrible customer service after 2018. Hope other Tesla owners have better experience than me.

I can't echo anything else that you folks haven't already read. I will reiterate...Bowers and Wilkins is a MUST if you're a music fan. SOOOOOOO musical.

She's in the hands of team Phil from Detailer's Domain for full xpel stealth PPF. Will update those when complete. In the meantime, below are a few pics.

Looks fantastic, great configuration.
Id guess this combo is going to be rather rare not seen many people go for the light interior but I think it looks awesome.

Looks great! We should be getting our Storm Bay 50 in a week or two. Nice to see some 'real life' photos. It looks really nice!

It's such a shame that BMW didn't do a light leather interior. My original order was for the light Sensatec but after my order fell through, I went with a dealer pre-specced vehicle with the Amido leather (it was basically that and get it in a week or two or re-order, lose B&W, pay more and get my car in December). I'm hoping the interior's not too dark. At least Amido doesn't appear to be fully black and more of a dark grey so fingers crossed. I generally *much* prefer light interior cars; I love how light, open and spacious they feel.

Mine was supposed to arrive today and I pick it up on Monday when I get back in town. It is Storm Bay metallic with Amido and I’m thinking full Xpel stealth as well but may just do clear on front. Had Donington Grey M5 that I stealth wrapped and it was awesome! Need to see color in real life first.

Thanks for congrats

One more thing... I was pleasantly surprise w/the range.

BMW states 314miles on full charge...339miles I guess I shouldn't be too shock as my x5 45e also overpromise in BMW specs. (btw..almost 12k miles and am still rocking 90mpg b/c fortunate commute is 25 miles one way and free charging at work)

but but but

What was MOST surprising on IX, if driven on B mode (aggressive regen), it’s "theoretically" 370miles on full charge. I drove it normal, local roads 5-10 mph above speed limit and 10-15mph above on highway.

I was condition from my Telsa ownership experience in respect to real world driving in NJ, whatever it states on full charge, take 20-25% off during spring to fall and 30-35% off in the winter months.

The only thing I'll give leg up to Tesla is that its app can lower and increase cabin temp. other than that... as porky pig would say... "ah b ah b ah that's all folks."

Any idea how the full xpel stealth PPF will reduce the estimated range? Have to figure that by adding weight to the car with the wrap the range will decrease. How many rolls of full xpel stealth PPF is required?

If you just go to the bathroom before you get into the car, it should negate the effects of the extra weight the PPF adds.

I suppose the stealth adds some more wind resistance over a gloss PPF, though, so maybe skip the cheeseburgers and diet coke too.

It's OP wife's car, so probably just leave the large handbag at home and only travel with a wallet. Also, limit the grocery's and use insta-cart instead.

Me too.. Over 500 Miles of driving, I am averaging 3.1 m/kwh. I have driven it mostly on highways at roughly 75-80mph. It regens efficiently as well. I remember last time I charged to 80%, the range estimator was showing 280miles.

It's not my video (although it does in fact convincingly and with data demonstrate that tinting your sunroof does not in fact build up heat but the reverse), but understood and 1) there is usually a guarantee by the detailer or dealer, and 2) that doesn't seem to be a problem with any type of modern tinting, by several reports, and this one was fairly illustrative. And may not in fact have been a problem in the past (other than by unconfirmed Internet "I know a guy" or "It happened to me" testimonials), although there have certainly been instances of the sunroof/moonroof shattering on virtually any model of car for any unknown reason, BMW included, tinted and not tinted (and very likely more non-tinted since that's less common) - in general, legally however, in the event your sunroof shattered (say a year after tinting and within the warranty period), it would be BMW's responsibility to prove that tinting caused it, not yours to prove that it didn't - although a rock, falling debris or hail hitting your tinted sunroof and shattering it, for example would not be a warranty claim and BMW could just as easily claim that. Good to investigate and understand prior to any aftermarket changes to your car - coding, tinting, painting, non-OEM parts and mods included - how your warranty might be affected. But just because you modify your car in any way doesn't automatically void your warranty.
