i4 M50 Service Intervals

I am looking to move from the X3 M40i to the i4 M50 as work mileage for new job will go from 5000 per year to 16000. Petrol costs in the X3 about £5000 a year vs i4 free charging at the office

Is the service schedule and expected costs available for the i4 I am hoping besides tyres and brakes it should be less than the X3

Brakes will probably not be an issue with regenerative braking/one pedal.

I'll take a total guess that the following may be required. It's still not much:
  • Brake Fluid Flush every other year
  • Cabin Air Filter
  • Wipers
  • 12V battery replacement as needed
  • Gearbox/Diff fluid (100K miles?)
  • Coolant flush and fill (100K miles?)

I am sure the dealers will find a way to make money out of these cars or they will struggle in 20 years time

As a comparison, my daughter had a Fiat 500e and over 3.years and 36k miles it was tires, cabin filter and washer fluid; oh and wiper blades.

For my daughter's Bolt over 40k miles it was the same thing; cabin filter, tires and washer fluid and blades.

EVs have very few maintenance items. Even the cooling systems require less than ICE cars because they are sealed and there is no contamination with combustion by products.

You still may have the eventual pump failure, etc. There are so many fewer parts in an EV that the cost to own is pretty low.

Could be a good reason there will be less or no discounting when purchasing to make up for future loss on maintenance income.

Guarantee you will wear down tires equally as fast. So all you really need to worry about is tires, brake pads/rotors, brake flushes and alignments. Occasional vehicle checks but that's essentially just a fancy full vehicle inspection.
